Alexander Fortin scored a pair of goals in the first period and Brent Moran made 29 saves as the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Detroit Red Wings 5-0 on Saturday INT NHL Prospects Tournament in I.C.E. Center in Traverse City.
Both teams are 1-1. After a day off for all teams on Sunday, the game will resume on Monday.
Mike Borkowski scored twice in a 6-4 victory over Columbus.
Gustav Forsing, Nathan Noel and Alex Debrincat also scored the Blackhawks. Red Wings goaltender Jake Paterson allowed five goals on 24 shots.
Tyler Bertuzzi and Alex Globke gave Red Wings with four shots each.
