QUENNEVILLE'S MESSAGE TO YOUNG BLACKHAWKS: PLAY TO YOUR STRENGTHS IN SEASON-OPENER
Here we are again, preparing for another opening game.
For half of the Blackhawks, this is old hat. For many, however, this is new territory. It will be a bit stressful, it will be a little intimidating, but the Custom Blackhawks Jersey are sending a message to their new players immediately: stick with what we have here.
Coach Joel Quenneville the meetings held individual players before the game Wednesday night, the Blackhawks season opener against the St. Louis Blues. There are a lot of new faces in the lineup, but the overall message is the same for all of them.
"Make sure you're comfortable out there, play to your strengths and the things we are trying to instill in them technically. We do not want you to be thinking there every shift, so trust your instincts and we will reinforce doing things well and good habits as you go along here, "Quenneville next skate Wednesday morning said. "Be comfortable, be confident and be ready to play."
two lower lines forward the Blackhawks' have a majority of their new faces, including Tyler Motte. The former star of the University of Michigan is aligned with Marcus Kruger, who has already found a good chemistry in penalty killing. Any familiarity has developed with young veterans is key in how quickly everything clicks.
"He's done a great job of helping me with systems especially in the PK here," Motte said Kruger. "It's good to have someone like that in your line and in situations like that."
While the Blackhawks Winter Classic Jersey have new staff, the blues have something of a new identity. Gone are some of the best known faces, including former captain David Backes. Troy Brouwer and goalie Brian Elliott also gone. So the Blues have their own settings.
"It was a little different, but guys like me and (Vladimir Tarasenko) and Jaden Schwartz, who are asked to have more of a leadership role this year, we learned from those guys. We were lucky we were able to play with them and be in a locker room with them for so long, "said defender Kevin Shattenkirk blues. "It's something we'll have to adjust to, and (are) asking to intensify younger but those are the growing pains that have to go through a young player."
It's a whole new season, and some of the Blackhawks, a whole new experience. They are here for a reason. Now they will see if it translates into a successful hockey regular season.
"I will not go out and try to play a different game. The coaches and the kids (veterans) have told me that," Motte said. "It may be on a bigger stage, the official opening game of the night, but the sport is no different. You have to go play in the same way."

HJALMARSSON SUSPENDED TO START REGULAR SEASON FOR HIT ON RATTIE
The defender of the Chicago Blackhawks received a match penalty for his play late hit on St. Louis Blues right wing. A little more now could be coming.
Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson will explain to Monday, when it is expected to have a telephone hearing with the Ministry of Security NHL Player.
The hearing of phone is the result of a match penalty Hjalmarsson was issued for charging and illegal check to the head of St. Louis Blues winger Ty Rattie on Saturday night.
Hjalmarsson did it in the neutral zone with 1:05 remaining in the 4-0 victory over Chicago at the United Center. Rattie trying to get by controlling Blackhawks winger Richard Panik left when Hjalmarsson entered him. While the video shows his elbow was down, the feet of HJALMARSSON did leave the ice to deliver the blow. His shoulder seems to make contact with the head Rattie.
Hjalmarsson was suspended once before. He received a two-game ban for hitting then-Buffalo Sabres winger Jason Pominville from behind right in 2010. However, it would not be considered a repeat offender. Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said after the game that Rattie was fine.
Hjalmarsson is a four best defenseman with the Blackhawks who played for Sweden at the recent World Cup of Hockey. He posted two goals and 24 points in 81 games last season. He appeared in 13 games with Blues, scoring four times while adding a pair of helpers.
UPDATE: Department of the NHL Player Safety announced Monday that Hjalmarsson was suspended for the rest of the preseason, and will be suspended for the first game of the regular season.

Blackhawks Roster Preview: Forwards
Chicago Blackhawks do not get to start their season until October 12 against the St. Louis Blues, but speculation on the opening day of the team list is already creeping performance. With that in mind, this article will be the first of a series of three that provides an overview of the list of current Blackhawks and the most likely players to be included when returning to the United Center Hawks.
Forward is a group, the most intriguing position to watch the camp entrance and I'll start there. While nearly half of the 12 starting positions will be filled with staples Chicago both old and new, the rest of the range any guarantees.
center
Perhaps the most important position on the team that is responsible for controlling the middle of the ice. Jonathan Toews was the main man responsible for maintaining the quality of this position group for the Blackhawks since arriving on the scene during the 2007-08 season. Fortunately, it will return to anchor this slot again in 2016-17, although the rest of the group around him has undergone some dramatic changes in recent months and years.
Although the second line center position was one of weakness for years under Joel Quenneville, Artem Anisimov seems to have solved the problems of Chicago there for the foreseeable future. The consistent and intelligent Russian had instant chemistry with Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin Jersey last season by scoring 20 goals in a year for only the second time. It will again provide some much needed stability and strong two-way game behind Toews.

Dated and uninspiring: no wonder USA failed at the World Cup of Hockey
Phil Kessel muistutti jääkiekko maailmassa, kuinka paljon he ovat olleet kateissa häntä kuin myöhään. Pittsburgh Penguins ampuja jätettiin pois Team USA roster World Cup of Hockey, kyseenalainen päätös parhaimmillaan ottaen hän johti joukkueen pisteytyksen vuoden 2014 talviolympialaiset.
Kessel ehdottomasti paahdettu amerikkalainen joukkue, ehkä tarkemmin aivoissa luottamus, loppupuolella 4-2 tappion Team Kanadan lähes täydellinen titityy.
Se oli hilpeä, mutta myös hulvattoman kertoo: Kessel ei ollut jäällä amerikkalaisille ja he kärsivät vain pystyy kokoamaan kaksi maalia kahden pelejä World Cup Hockey. Kanssa tiistai-illan tappion Team Canada yhdysvaltalaiset turnauksesta.
Ja se on hyvä asia. Joukkueen puute pisteytyksen on näkynyt, eikä lisäämällä pelaajat kuten Kessel ja Tampa Bay Lightning eteenpäin Tyler Johnson niiden line-up vain korostettiin juuttunut menneisyyteen USA jääkiekko parhaaseen vs. paras taso on.
